Your First Orthodontic Visit
Lyndon S. Low, DDS, MS - Orthodontics provides excellent orthodontic treatment for children, teenagers, and adults. Located in Stockton, CA, our practice's top priority is to provide the finest orthodontic results using advanced dental technology. We are committed to creating a significant improvement in the dental health and appearance for each of our patients.
We are always excited to meet new patients! Your first visit is important to you and to us. Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion about your orthodontic treatment options. This important visit will give us insights into your orthodontic needs.
During the initial examination for each patient we will address the following questions which cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.
If you have orthodontic insurance please bring your insurance card and or insurance information. By providing this information at your first visit, we will be able to provide you with a better estimate of your cost. Most often we can answer general questions and come to a conclusion about the need for orthodontic treatment. If treatment is needed, we can schedule appointments to begin that treatment. We may determine that it would be best to wait and reevaluate treatment needs at a later date.
We feel that it is important to analyze each patient's specific needs. Planning leads to excellent results and higher patient satisfaction. In cases where we are not able to determine the appropriate course of treatment at the initial appointment we will need to gather initial orthodontic records. The records include a panoramic x-ray, lateral cepholometric x-ray, photos, and impressions for study models. We may also ask that your general dentist supplement the records with x-rays that their office can provide. We can then schedule a consultation.
Careful analysis of the diagnostic records will enable us to discuss treatment options more specifically. We insist that our patients have a clear understanding of their needs, what the treatment will consist of, and how long it will take.
